Job summary

Baker Hughes in France is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer - Casting and Forging to manage quality and technical aspects of supplier-delivered products, coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics and Procurement. You will drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, supplier development, audits, and ensure compliance with ISO9001 and product specifications.

Frequent travel to the Fougerolles-Saint-Valbert plant is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical engineering or Materials engineering or equivalent in castings/forgings.
• Knowledge of process metallurgy, metallography, casting solidification, hot metal working, welding, NDTs (VT, PT, MT, UT, RX) and CNC machining; painting basics.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and product specifications.
• Fluent in English; fluent in Italian or French.
• Proficient in PC & office software.
• EU work permit required.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and monthly 3–4 day trips to Fougerolles-Saint-Valbert.

Responsibilities

• Support the suppliers in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CA) after related NCR.
• Implement Quality Development Plans for eligible suppliers.
• Qualify suppliers according to company rules.
• Move out periodic audits to verify compliance with company requirements.
• Check on-the-job inspections according to Quality Control Plans.
• Support suppliers on Deviation Request (SDR) management.
• Support cross-functional activities to improve Suppliers Quality.
