Job summary

ICIS, part of LexisNexis Risk Solutions, offers a 6-month Carbon Analytics Intern position based in Paris. You will develop data analytics and visualization tools, handle large datasets, and lead a research project with real business value.

You’ll collaborate with quantitative and qualitative analysts across energy teams to deliver market insights. You will gain mentorship, exposure to AI coding tools, and a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Financial Engineering, Data Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
• Programming experience in Python and SQL.
• Strong communication and writing skills in English.
• Confidence in handling and visualising large datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative mindset and initiative.
• Interest in energy markets, especially European carbon markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data analytics and visualisation tools, including indicators and price forecasting models.
• Support key projects through data handling, analysis and programming.
• Work with large and complex datasets.
• Lead a high-impact research project with direct business value.
• Collaborate with experienced quantitative and qualitative analysts.
• Interact with energy teams including Power, Gas and LNG.
