Position Overview

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Business Teacher to teach Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Business courses. As a teacher at our school, you will have the opportunity to inspire young minds, cultivate critical thinking, and shape the next generation of business leaders.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing personalized guidance to help students achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in teaching business at the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level standards, as well as a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Economics, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Business (Years 10-11) and A Level Business (Years 12-13).
• Strong knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum and examination requirements.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with exceptional communication skills.
• Indonesian citizenship (or legal eligibility to work in Indonesia).
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in student development, both academically and personally.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles, including independent learners and international students.

Preferred:

• Experience with restorative teaching practices and creating a nurturing, collaborative classroom environment.
• Familiarity with EdTech tools to enhance teaching and learning (e.g., learning management systems, online resources).
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment planning.
• Familiarity with ESL (English as a Second Language) learners and strategies to support language acquisition in business subjects.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons to small Cambridge IGCSE (Grade 9-10) and A Level Business (Grade11-12) students.
• Provide a balance of theoretical and practical business knowledge to enhance student learning.
• Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of business concepts.

Student Development:

• Implement restorative teaching strategies that encourage student voice, collaboration, and self-regulation.
• Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
• Provide individualized feedback and guidance to students, both in and outside of class.
• Monitor student progress and conduct regular assessments (formative and summative), adjusting teaching strategies based on student performance.

Curriculum and Resource Development:

• Design and implement assessments that align with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level standards.
• Integrate innovative teaching methods, digital resources, and real-world case studies into the curriculum.
• Work closely with other members of the teaching team to share resources, best practices, and ideas for continuous improvement.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with trends in education, particularly in business studies.

School Development:

• Contribute to the school’s growth by engaging in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and community outreach.
• Collaborate with leadership in shaping the future direction of the school as we transition to a formal educational institution.
