Siemens EDA is seeking an Application Engineer for its European team, focusing on the Calibre line—the market leader in physical verification. Based in France, you will collaborate with customers and sales to drive adoption of Calibre tools across Europe.

You will build relationships, run demos and benchmarks, and help establish success criteria with the sales team. Expect some international travel within Europe and the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as an Application Engineer or in customer environments with physical verification (DRC, DFM) and circuit verification tools (LVS, PERC, PEX).
• Broad understanding of physical verification, circuit verification, extraction, and DFM methodologies and flows.
• Expert-level scripting and programming skills (TCL/Tk, Python) in CAD environments.
• Working familiarity with Unix and Linux operating systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Responsabilités

• Develop relationships with customers to assess technical requirements and map them to Calibre solutions.
• Drive product adoption by creating methodologies and integrating into customer environments.
• Identify opportunities, assess technical viability, and communicate findings to sales for success criteria.
• Provide technical leadership in sales campaigns and contribute to technical plans.
• Share insights with peers, sales, management, and product divisions to strengthen position.
• Participate in outbound marketing activities like trade shows and workshops.
