Alstom is seeking a mechanical design engineer to create interior train components using CATIA V5/DMA, focusing on weight, acoustics, eco design and aerodynamics. You will ensure design consistency with project procedures and standards, while coordinating with external sub-contractors and site engineers.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in mechanical parts design, a strong CATIA V5 capability, and familiarity with DMA.

Qualifications

• Engineer with an appropriate engineering background.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical parts design.
• Excellent CATIA V5 skills.
• DMA knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Designs and draws interiors parts of the train in the digital mock-up using CATIA V5 and DMA, considering weight, acoustics, eco design, aerodynamics and aeraulics.
• Deploys and applies project Train Design development procedures, catalogue and standard solutions.
• Optimizes the parts design to reach cost targets and ensure the committed planning.
• Works with external engineering sub-contractors and with site CAD engineers.
• Checks digital mock-up consistency (no interferences, equipment localisation and volume, interfaces).
• Prepares with Lead Engineer support, design review elements.
