Alstom in Saint-Ouen (near Paris) seeks a Train Architect Manager to define and lead the mechanical architecture for rolling stock projects and tenders. You will work with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, maintenance, and R&D to deliver robust train architectures that meet quality, cost, and delivery commitments.

The role requires a Master’s in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in mechanical integration within rail, and strong Catia V5/V6 and PLM tool experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical integration within an engineering department, preferably in railways.
• Knowledge of project management (quality, cost, delay) and development governance.
• Strong knowledge of train mechanical architecture including interior design, mechanical integration, and related technologies (e.g., aluminum profiles, composites, sheet metal).
• Ability to share vision with development stakeholders and lead technical meetings.
• Proficiency in Catia V5/V6 for modeling and PLM tools for digital mock-ups.

Responsabilités

• Define and manage train architecture (definition, verification, validation & certification).
• Control physical architecture governance.
• Lead layout definition and mechanical transversal performance activities.
• Define physical architecture balancing customer requirements, platform requirements, policy and cost constraints.
• Manage main layouts considering lighting, passenger flow, corrosion, etc.
• Animate Project Preferred Parts List and physical architecture reviews.
• Ensure convergence with train aesthetical definition and project requirements.
• Produce internal and customer tender deliverables and lead mechanical MLE.
