Job Description:

Description

This project aims to investigate the mechanics of fluid flow through lymphatic and venous valves, focusing on their role in facilitating unidirectional flow while preventing reflux.

The objective is to design bio-inspired valves, modeled after those found in lymphatic vessels and veins, using CAD software. These designs will be converted into STL files for the fabrication of prototypes with varying geometric dimensions using 3D printing technology. The performance of these valves will be assessed through experimental testing.

Students will analyze the opening and closing dynamics of the valves using numerical simulations, experimental methods, or a combination of both, depending on their skills and academic background.
