Job summary

EGIDE is seeking a Software Engineer (C++/Python) to design and build the C2 and mission-planning software at the heart of our interceptor systems. This role focuses on turning sensor data and operator intent into optimized engagement plans, with ownership across the full lifecycle from math formulation to deployment.

The position emphasizes algorithmic work: trajectory optimization, resource allocation, path planning, sensor fusion, and real-time decision-making in high-performance production

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering skills in C++ and Python.
• Solid grasp of software architecture and design patterns.
• Applied-mathematics foundation: optimization, linear algebra, statistics.
• Experience turning mathematical models or algorithms into production-grade code.
• Experience building Python bindings and clean, maintainable interfaces.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust C2 and mission-planning architectures.
• Build the planning core: engagement scheduling and interceptor allocation.
• Develop high-performance components in C++ with Python bindings.
• Ensure clean interfaces between low-level compute and operator-facing logic.
