R&D Senior Software Engineer/Specialist

The role involves developing new functionalities and solutions for DELMIA Industrial Engineering Applications, primarily serving automotive, aerospace, equipment, and high-tech industries. This position is based in Bangalore.

Role & Responsibilities

• Estimating, designing, developing, planning, and implementing software modules and features.
• Resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation, and innovating application improvements.
• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
• Understanding customer requirements and translating them into software solutions.
• Collaborating with a geographically distributed team.

Qualifications/Experience

• UG, PG in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines from premier institutions with consistent academic records.
• Experience Band: 8 to 15 years.
• 2 to 5 years of experience programming Robots on shop floors or assembly lines involving Robots/Cobots.
• Hands-on experience with designing and developing complex software products and unit testing tools.
• Expertise in C++, with experience in CAA as an advantage.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, HLD & LLD, OOAD, and OOPS.
• Good knowledge of Analytical Geometry.
• Desirable: Digital Manufacturing, Robotics, CAD/CAM domain knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and responsibly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a good team spirit.
