Context :

The Compensation & Benefits Specialist works within the HR department of the Global Energy Management & Sales business unit, under the supervision of the Head of Compensation & Benefits. The Compensation & Benefits department is composed of 6 other team members, based in Belgium and France.

He / she is in charge of Compensation and Benefits initiatives & projects while ensuring the operational management of the reward processes, policies, and practices contributing to attract, retain, and motivate high-quality employees while enhancing GEMS as the best place to work.

Role :

  1. Master the numbers to drive C&B strategy: collect, extract, and consolidate HR data from multiple sources (HRIS, payroll, performance management systems, etc.) to support C&B processes and campaigns such as annual salary review, LTI campaign, and employee shareholding and profit-sharing plans.
  2. Participate in data cleaning and data accuracy in the context of HRIS tool change, for reward tool, payroll instructions, and reward letters.
  3. Ensure data quality and accuracy in close collaboration with HRIS and HR partners.
  4. Create monthly reporting and follow-up HR KPIs (resignation rates, promotions, off-cycle salary budgets, etc.).
  5. Prepare statistical analyses and reports for stakeholders such as Compliance, Compensation Committee, Management, Finance, and HR groups.
  6. Provide budgetary control of salary costs and provisions (bonus pool, standard costs, Expats...) in collaboration with Management Control and Tax Department (Transfer Pricing).
  7. Proactively identify potential overspend and savings/optimization opportunities.
  8. Participate in benchmark surveys.
  9. Support various C&B projects (Gender index, Profit sharing, shareholding plan, individual reward statements, reward tool testing).
  10. Minimum 3 years of experience in HR controlling within an international group.
  11. Excellent knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
  12. Power BI knowledge is an asset.
  13. Rigorous with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  14. Ability to adapt to payroll systems and databases.
  15. Structured, organized, and pragmatic.
  16. Resilient to stress and perseverant.
  17. Team player and solution-oriented.
