1. Scope

The Direct Material Buyer is responsible for managing sourcing and resourcing, contract execution, and supplier performance for an assigned set of commodities and supplier relationships. The Buyer contributes to defining the Commodity Strategy. They will interact with various stakeholders at Stellantis (Engineering, Program Team, Supplier Quality, Supplier Risk Management, Purchasing Finance, Accounting, Cost Engineers, etc.) to coordinate actions for managing Requests for Quotations or Contract Execution.

2. Activities

In accordance with Stellantis Code of Conduct (Ethics & Compliance), the buyer is accountable for:

• Contributing to the Commodity Strategy of their perimeter
• Preparing and managing RFQ (Request for Quotation) in line with the Bidlist defined through the commodity strategy
• Making supplier Recommendations (REC) during Sourcing Table decision meetings
• Generating the Purchase Agreement (contract) based on the supplier selection (REC)
• Ensuring contract execution, quality, logistics, development performance, capacity increase, etc.
• Managing escalation levels with suppliers for quality, logistics, and obsolescence when needed
• Preparing, managing, and executing resourcing
• Managing and negotiating purchasing performance, including commercial performance, Monozokuri, Value Optimization (VO), and raw material indexation / optimization
• Coordinating and preparing various business reviews with suppliers
• Managing administrative tasks (Purchase orders, amendments, etc.)
• Managing reporting activities (e.g., Performance roadmap)

3. Main Deliverables

• Supplier recommendations aligned with sourcing timing, cost targets, and commodity strategy
• Elaboration and signing of Purchase Agreements and General Terms & Conditions (GT&Cs)
• Economic performance, including VO, aligned with Division and Commodity Group targets
• Resourcing recommendations in line with targets
• Quality, logistics, and Vehicle Off Road (VOR) performance aligned with Purchasing Division’s targets
• All related business administration
