Job description

Akur8 is a fast-growing InsurTech scale-up on a mission to help insurers make better decisions, faster.

Our SaaS platform turns complex risk data into clear, transparent insights, enabling teams to price risk accurately today and anticipate claims tomorrow.

Powered by advanced analytics and transparent machine learning, Akur8 brings speed, reliability, and clarity to critical insurance decisions — developed by multidisciplinary teams in product, engineering, and actuarial expertise.

Recognized globally, Akur8 has been featured in:

  • CB Insights’ Insurtech 50 (2025)
  • CNBC’s InsurTech Top 150 (2025)
  • InsurTech100 Global Insurtech Top 100 (2025)
  • Professional Equality Index 97/100 (2025)

With 40+ nationalities across 8 global offices, we serve 320+ clients across 4 continents — scaling rapidly in mature insurance markets.

We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer, assessing all applications fairly based on skills, experience, and potential. Diversity, equality, and inclusion are core to who we are.

You will join Akur8’s Corporate Development team and report to the Business Systems Manager. Akur8 is growing quickly, and our teams need processes, tools and data practices that can keep pace. The Corporate Development team works across the company to support this growth and help our teams work more effectively. As Business Systems Analyst, you will help shape the tools and processes. Your main focus will be Salesforce, alongside tools such as Gong, HubSpot and other applications in our internal stack.

You will work closely with business teams to understand how they work, identify where improvements can be made and turn their needs into practical technical solutions. Over time, you will take increasing ownership of the systems and processes you support.

Why this role matters

With AI, tools and processes evolve fast. We can now build better applications, faster.

We are a scale up that evolves quickly, and you will act directly on the implementation of key departments' processes and ways of working.

In this context this role is central: being the link between business, ideas and software best practice is what will maintain the success of our teams.

Your goal is to help the sales and marketing teams optimize, innovate and make their ideas (and yours) possible, while keeping our application ecosystem coherent.

This will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Understanding team processes and requirements, identifying gaps and helping stakeholders define clearer ways of working.
  • Translating business needs into clear functional requirements and practical technical solutions.
  • Configuring and implementing new features, processes and tools, while developing your knowledge of relevant technologies.
  • Creating user documentation, training teams and supporting the adoption of new features and processes.
  • Answering questions, investigating issues and identifying opportunities for further improvements.

You will work closely with and receive guidance from the Business Systems Manager. This role offers the opportunity to develop from supporting business systems projects to taking ownership of key applications and processes across Akur8.

This role is based in our Paris office.

We’re looking for someone with a rigorous and curious mindset, and a proven ability to help teams improve and scale their ways of working.

EDUCATIONAL / PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • You have 1+ years of experience (including internships/apprenticeships) where you were involved in IT projects functionally and/or technically.
  • You graduated from a Master in engineering school, or management school with IT specialisation, or equivalent.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • You have a good understanding of data modelling, and are able (or willing to learn) to read and understand code logic.
  • Salesforce knowledge is welcomed, but what matters is that you understand the automation you build.
SOFT SKILLS
  • You are organized, thorough and able to think clearly through complex topics.
  • You listen carefully, synthesize information and turn detailed analysis into clear, actionable plans that you can help drive forward.
  • You communicate clearly with different stakeholders and can explain complex topics in a practical way.
  • You take ownership of your work and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in both French & English and are happy working in a multicultural environment

IMPORTANT: You must possess an employment status that will allow work from our Paris office.

As a newcomer, you'll be joining a diverse, highly skilled and motivated team, with a strong Tech DNA, colleagues that are eager to share their knowledge and passion.

We care about strong teamwork and a positive day-to-day environment. The team regularly connects through optional activities such as team lunches, sports, karaoke, or occasional after-work gatherings.

In addition to this, we will provide you with:

  • Competitive salary + annual bonus
  • Hybrid office/home working policy
  • 25 days of paid holidays + RTT
  • Gym membership with Wellpass
  • Excellent health insurance (including spouse and family coverage) with Alan
  • Swile lunch vouchers (12,10€)
  • Public transportation reimbursement (75%) + sustainable mobility allowance
  • IT equipment allowance (500€)
  • Sponsored crèche access with Babilou
  • Free cafeteria with fresh fruits, drinks and snacks
  • Great office in the heart of the 9th arrondissement of Paris
