Team Lead Business Solution Design & Delivery

Location: Paris, Fr or Switzerland

As AXA XL continues to invest in its end-to-end capabilities, the Head of Business Solution Design & Delivery will oversee a pool of 20-25 Business Solution Design and Delivery colleagues. These colleagues support projects in the solution design based on the E2E knowledge of processes and systems, partnering with the program managers on the roll-out of initiatives.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

The Team Lead Business Solution Design & Delivery will be responsible for:

  1. People Management: Own the day-to-day aspects of people management covering hiring, onboarding, development, performance management, and support of individual team members. Further, the HR administration including time tracking, holiday tracking, performance tracking, and input in compensation recommendations is part of the role.

  2. Team Building: Ensure a solid team structure and team bonding for your sub-team. Allow knowledge transfer between colleagues from different practices to broaden the skillset and expertise of individual team members.

  3. Program Oversight: Oversee the successful engagement of the Business Solution Design and Delivery sub-team on various projects by providing guidance on approach and oversight of deliveries.

  4. Methodologies: Ensure identification of methodology training needs across the pool of resources. Ensure consistency and quality of standards and documentation across programs and areas. Foster a learning environment by sharing best practices and lessons learned across team members.

  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Drive ongoing stakeholder engagement to obtain feedback on program execution and performance of your team members. Take actions as needed.

  6. External Resource Management: Manage external resources from vendor process, onboarding, performance and delivery tracking to time tracking and invoicing process.

Team Leads will act as individual contributors with the specific project role assigned and cover in this responsibility the following areas:

This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities to ensure Operational Readiness in our programmes focusing on:

  1. Identifying business solutions to various problems through workshops and interviews, conducting analyses and documenting deliverables, managing C-suite level stakeholders to drive the best business outcome.

  2. Defining and documenting target designs and outcomes for strategic business decisions.

  3. Applying change management tools and methodologies to drive adoption to enable full benefit realization.

  4. Providing product ownership expertise.

  5. Defining processes for continuous improvement.

  6. Acting as a Business Advisor and ensuring superior quality in deliverables and documentation.

  7. Developing close relationships with key business stakeholders of your project which allows you to act as a thought partner and dare to challenge to achieve the optimum business outcome.

  8. Understanding interdependencies between different change initiatives and managing them proactively. Owning the oversight of multiple change initiatives and developing a holistic change strategy targeted to your key stakeholder community.

  9. Providing guidance/assistance to other key team members assigned to a development role/opportunity.

The candidate will be expected to independently identify and deliver solutions on large cross-functional programs. Coordination and program-wide leadership within BSDD deliverables and strong stakeholder management is a key component for a successful delivery of this role.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Business Solution Design and Delivery.

SHARE your talent

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  1. Experience in driving global cross-functional programs (15+ Years) in the insurance industry and international environment, coupled with other relevant experience.

  2. Excellent people management skills and experience in managing large-scale teams/pools of resources.

  3. Significant experience in consulting roles, equipped with a broad set of tools and techniques for status assessments, solutioning, visualization, and implementation of various business problems. Experienced and confident presenter and facilitator for workshops, forums, interviews, and other business interactions.

  4. Excellent Change Management skills, experience in assessing change impact and delivering change management activities targeted to various stakeholder groups, considering project interdependencies.

  5. Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills complemented with excellent social/collaboration skills.

  6. Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Experience in communicating with C-level suite.

  7. Excellent business acumen, coupled with technology knowledge and expertise in the software development life cycle.

  8. Prior experience in working in Agile environments.

  9. PROSCI and/or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred.
