Business Solution Design & Delivery Lead

Location: Paris, Fr or UK

As AXA XL continues to invest in its end-to-end capabilities, the Business Solution Design & Delivery Lead will support cross-functional/cross-BU programs in the solution design and delivery. Building on knowledge of processes and systems, they will partner with business units, IT, and other functions to ensure the successful roll-out of the initiatives.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

The Business Solution Design & Delivery Lead will independently shape and own program-wide deliverables within the BSDD scope of work, which can entail the coordination of multiple sub-projects or workstreams for large transversal programs for AXA XL's most complex transformation initiatives. This can entail the coordination and leadership of several internal or external team colleagues.

In this role, you will deliver one or several of the BSDD service offerings where you are expected to master all of the BSDD services with a key focus on stakeholder management:

This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities to ensure Operational Readiness in our programs of work focusing on:

• Identifying business solutions to various problems through workshops and interviews, conducting analyses and documenting deliverables, managing C-suite level stakeholders to drive the best business outcome.
• Defining and documenting target designs and outcomes for strategic business decisions.
• Applying change management tools and methodologies to drive adoption to enable full benefit realization.
• Providing product ownership expertise.
• Defining processes for continuous improvement.
• Acting as a Business Advisor and ensuring superior quality in deliverables and documentation.
• Developing close relationships with key business stakeholders of your project, allowing you to act as a thought partner and dare to challenge to achieve the optimum business outcome.
• Understanding interdependencies between different change initiatives and managing them proactively. Owning the oversight of multiple change initiatives and developing a holistic change strategy targeted to your key stakeholder community.
• Providing guidance/assistance to other key team members assigned to a development role/opportunity.

The candidate will be expected to independently identify and deliver solutions on large cross-functional programs. Coordination and program-wide leadership within BSDD deliverables and strong stakeholder management is a key component for a successful delivery of this role.

In this role, you will report to the Team Lead of Business Solution Design and Delivery.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Technical Skills:

• Excellent Change Management skills, experience in assessing change impact and delivering change management activities targeted to various stakeholder groups. Prosci certification a plus.
• Excellent skills in Process Definition and Continuous Improvement. Lean/Six Sigma certification a plus.
• Strong experience in consulting roles, equipped with various tools and techniques for status assessments, solutioning, visualization, and implementation of various business problems. Maintain and promote a consultancy background and always drive for highest quality output.

Other skills:

• 12+ years of experience in driving large-scale programs covering multiple dimensions (LoBs, geographies, or functions) in the insurance industry and an international environment, coupled with other relevant experience.
• Strong capabilities in documenting and visualizing design decisions and progress status.
• Strong people mentoring skills, acts as a role model, and supports junior colleagues in project execution.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, acting as a challenging partner to ensure optimum business outcomes.
• Strong analytical/conceptual and solutioning skills complemented with strong social/soft skills. Ability to act as a credible partner to business functions and comfortable dissenting.
