At Genomines, our mission is to pioneer a new era of sustainable mining by using genetically enhanced plants to extract metals from the ground (agromining). Through synthetic biology and cutting‑edge technology, we harness the power of nature to create bioengineered plants that can farm for metals while decontaminating soil and creating cleaner lands for agriculture. Our ultimate goal is to become the world’s first carbon‑negative mining group, using sustainable, eco‑friendly methods to extract the valuable resources our society needs for the energy transition.
Genomines is entering a rapid growth phase with the scaled agriculture and commercialization of our metal products. Backed by some of the largest and most influential climate tech funds worldwide, we have a grand ambition to supply the world’s green energy transition with plant‑based metals.
We offer ambitious candidates opportunities for rapid growth and strong exposure.
Business Interns will be critical support members during our next phase of development. The responsibilities of business interns will be dynamic, challenging, and will focus on developing our projects and value chain: Executive Office, Business Development, HR will be the core focuses during the internships.
Successful interns demonstrate a rigorous attention to detail, pride & ownership over their work, effective communication skills, a strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial mindset, a team‑first attitude, and humility.
We are seeking end‑of‑study candidates currently pursuing a Master’s degree (BAC+5), with a preference for an academic focus in Engineering or Business. We look for strong analytical skills, resilience, ambition, and an ability to grasp complexity in a fast‑paced startup environment.
I’ve always believed that you have to try something to make the learning real. I joined Genomines for the first‑hand experience of operating in a young and ambitious company in the deep/climate tech sector.
What stood out to me about this internship was my level of responsibility, and the impact that I was able to have. I’ve gained an up‑close view on various parts of the business, and I’ve contributed to helping a Series A startup move toward its targets. It’s been a pleasure working with Genomines’ diverse team and ambitious leadership.

I joined Genomines as a foreign intern with no ability to speak the local language and no “traditional” business background. However, I knew that by taking the risk of joining a young, seed‑stage startup my ability to learn and grow would be accelerated 10x versus traditional development paths. I had opportunities to directly work with executive management and lead initiatives that gave me the reps, exposure, and quick feedback loops necessary to rapidly grow. I’ve since been promoted twice and now support the company as Chief of Staff. For the young and ambitious talent who want to grow quickly and test their potential, the internships at Genomines are a fantastic opportunity.
