WHAT'S THE JOB?

As Business Development Manager, you will play a one-of-a-kind role in expanding Ovoko’s presence in the French automotive industry and the used car parts market. You will focus on the French recyclers (VHU centers) in one of the most important Ovoko markets – France. Here, we helped give a second life to more than 650,000 reused car parts within the last year. So far, only a small fraction of these reused parts came from French recyclers themselves, but the opportunities are immense. If you see yourself as a person who can move the needle here, this adventure is for you!

Responsibilities
  • Acquire and onboard high-potential French Reused Parts Sellers (VHU centers/car recyclers, used car parts resellers, etc.).
  • Manage and execute acquisition sales cycles, including outreach, pitching, demos, onboarding, and first orders.
  • Guide clients through the platform’s value proposition and core workflows.
  • Add to the company’s strategies in France, development and execution.
  • Work closely with our French industry-leading partners.
  • Represent Ovoko in relevant French automotive business events and communities.
  • Help Ovoko, as a used parts marketplace, raise awareness among relevant industry actors.
  • Help drive sales growth from France through various commercial experiments.
  • Help to test and scale key company initiatives.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Personality, that is, thriving as being the first on the ground, and the ability to build a business “with bare hands.”
  • The capacity and ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adjusting to market changes as needed.
  • Ability to think outside the box to sell a compelling vision and solution.
  • Ability to travel to France and represent Ovoko in relevant French automotive business events and communities is a must. A significant part of the job time will be spent on-site with clients.
  • Native French language.
  • Fluency in the written and spoken English language, as you will communicate daily with your colleagues from various teams.
WHAT WE EXPECT, AS YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, partnership development, account management, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in the automotive business, or especially the used car parts industry, is a significant advantage.
  • Previous experience in startup and/or scale-up phase companies is an advantage.
