Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy Software Solutions (Central Europe)

We’re supporting an innovative clean energy software company in their search for an experienced Business Development Manager to help drive the growth of their leading asset management platform for renewable energy operators.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about renewables and digitalization, with strong sales expertise and a deep understanding of the solar PV, wind, battery storage, or hybrid energy markets. You'll be helping energy producers optimize their assets and operations through cutting-edge, data-driven solutions.

The Role:
You will take ownership of the commercial expansion strategy across Central Europe, building relationships with Independent Power Producers (IPPs), asset managers, and large-scale renewable operators. You will manage the full sales cycle—from initial engagement to closing contracts—and collaborate closely with technical and product teams to ensure customer success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development activities to grow market share for the platform across Europe.
  • Identify, approach, and convert new clients, managing the full sales cycle.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and technical stakeholders.
  • Shape go-to-market strategies based on market intelligence and client feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, product, marketing) to align solutions with client needs.
  • Maintain a strong, active pipeline and meet revenue growth targets.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3-5+ years' experience selling software solutions in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new business and managing complex sales processes.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV, with familiarity with adjacent sectors like wind, battery storage, or hydro.
  • Ability to engage both technical experts and C-suite leaders within client organizations.
  • Client-focused, empathetic, consultative, and solutions-driven approach.
  • Well-connected in the renewable energy sector (IPPs, asset managers, O&M providers, EPCs).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Technical understanding of asset management platforms is a plus.

Additional Details:

  • Location: Flexible across Central Europe, Eastern Europe, or the UK.
  • Travel: Approximately 30% of your time will involve meeting clients and prospects.
  • You will collaborate closely with the global sales, marketing, product, and operations teams.
