Role Overview
To support our commercial expansion in the France & Benelux region, we are seeking a Business Development Manager with a passion for science and innovation. Reporting directly to the Business Development Director, you will actively contribute to expanding our client portfolio in France & Benelux area.
Your missions
- Lead prospecting activities: Identify and engage potential clients within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic sectors across France & Benelux
- Market research & lead generation: Perform in-depth market analysis to identify new business opportunities and key decision-makers
- Sales in collaboration with teams: Work closely with technical, scientific, and commercial teams to set up customized scientific proposals that meet client needs.
- Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new clients to drive customer loyalty and repeat business
- Attend industry events: Represent Novalix and promote its services at key conferences, trade shows, and partnering events to identify new prospects and raise awareness of Novalix's capabilities
- CRM management: Keep the CRM system updated with accurate data on prospect status, follow-ups, and progress reports
Your Profile
- Scientific background: Master’s degree or PhD in chemistry, biology, biotechnology, or a related field. Knowledge in pharmacology is an important plus. You are eager to learn about new technologies and continuously expand your scientific knowledge.
- Experience: Initial experience in sales, business development is mandatory. Additional experience in scientific project management is a plus.
- Prospecting expertise: Strong drive to engage with new clients, build connections, and bring in business opportunities.
- Market knowledge: Good understanding of the drug discovery and regulatory process as well as the commercial environment within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
- Team player: You are collaborative by nature, and thrive in a team-oriented environment where you can work closely with scientific and commercial teams to deliver the best results
- Goal-driven mindset: You are motivated by achieving commercial goals with a strong focus on prospecting activities.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in French and English is required, Dutch is a plus
- Self-starter: Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Regional travel: Willingness to travel frequently across France & Benelux.
