Job Description:

Telecon is looking for an energetic, career-oriented individual to join our growing US team as Business Development Manager, Carrier Sales.

With the continued expansion into the US market at Telecon, we are now looking for an individual to secure short and long-term profitable business for Telecon through proactive business development. This job role will be focused on selling Outside/Inside Plant Network Design, Network Build, Locate and Connectivity solutions to tier 2, 3, and 4 service providers and broadband providers in the US market. This role reports to the Head of Business Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop business development strategy for all assigned target accounts, including engagement plans up to Senior level.
  • Daily account management activities, being a crucial contact point for assigned customer(s).
  • Managing and fostering relationships with current and new prospects.
  • Continuously generate strong pipeline that supports the achievement of assigned quota(s) and generates profitable sales.
  • Position Telecon’s Design-Build-Connect value proposition, demonstrating business benefits and ROI differentiating Telecon from its competitors.
  • Achieve and strive to exceed assigned quota(s) by directly covering the assigned key accounts.
  • Develop new Quarterly funnel opportunities in designated accounts/markets, uncovering new business areas, orchestrating compelling & driven commercial offers, and progressing large, strategic key deals forward to closure.
  • Develop, Update, and execute key account plan for each assigned customer.
  • Manage internal organization to ensure effective service solutions are developed and presented to address these opportunities in the most effective way.
  • Ensure on-time and accurate delivery of services as per master service agreement and as it pertains to customer relationships.
  • Actively participates in and contributes to pricing strategy and contract negotiations in the best interests of customer and the organization.
  • Forecast and monitor account metrics for each client.
  • Communicate progress of quarterly, monthly, and yearly initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
  • Drives sales, pre-sales and other functions based on in-depth organizational understanding and develops competitive and innovative offers, RFQ responses that deliver considerable value to customers and Telecon.
  • Recommend value-based services solutions to customers, showing how changes will impact the ROI.
  • Present Telecon’s current and/or future products at regular customer meetings and key industry events.
  • Strategize and execute sales opportunities with Senior Leaders, Regional BU Heads and other members of the organization.
  • Travel for customer meetings.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of customer relationship sales experience, preferably in the wireline or wireless industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong business and technical seller with entrepreneurial skills and a passion for understanding and helping to solve customer challenges by leveraging the full power of Telecon’s service solutions.
  • Embodying a "we-before-me" mindset with a proactive, humble, and tenacious hunter sales approach to acquire new strategic customers.
  • Strong leadership & interpersonal skills, cross-group collaboration, and proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with ability to listen to customer to articulate the business case and solutions.
  • Customer and industry insight including negotiation skills.
  • Perseverance and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Accountability and commitment with a passion to win.
  • Proven ability to consultative service solution selling skills and commercial understanding.
  • Working knowledge of the current state and federal infrastructure programs such as RDOF, BEAD.
  • Posses’ knowledge of current Outside plant equipment and construction practices in access network technologies including FTTx, HFC, Remote-Phy, etc.
