Your Role
We’re not just hiring — we’re looking for someone who wants to build. As Business Development Manager for France, you’ll be one of the first people on the ground, playing a pivotal role in shaping Kalma’s launch and growth in the French market.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to experience the early days of a startup — from defining go-to-market strategies to testing and refining products, meeting customers, forging key partnerships, and even helping draft the contracts that will shape our legal model in France. You'll work hand in hand with the founding team, with visibility across the company and the freedom to bring ideas to life.
Responsibilities
- Be the voice of Kalma in France. Help us adapt and localize our offerings to the needs and realities of the French market.
- Talk to customers. Understand their problems, needs, and aspirations — and use that insight to improve how we communicate, what we offer, and how we deliver it.
- Build partnerships. Identify and engage with key local partners — from brokers and real estate agents to legal advisors and senior organizations.
- Shape the product. Work with the product, legal, and operations teams to tailor our solutions to French regulations and customer expectations.
- Draft and localize materials. From pitch decks and onboarding guides to legal contracts and customer communications — you’ll help shape our presence in every channel.
- Collaborate across the company. Be the bridge between France and the rest of the Kalma team — coordinating with Legal, Marketing, Operations, and Investor Relations to make things happen.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- You’re excited by the idea of launching a new market from scratch.
- You have 3+ years of experience in business development, consulting, startup operations, or sales (ideally in real estate, fintech, or prop-tech).
- You’re confident talking to customers, partners, and investors.
- You’re entrepreneurial, hands-on, and love solving ambiguous problems.
- You’re fluent in French and English (Spanish is a plus).
- You want to be part of a mission-driven company making a positive impact on people’s lives.
Bonus Points
- Experience working with seniors or understanding their needs.
- Knowledge of nue-propriété, viager, or similar property-backed financial solutions.
- Familiarity with French real estate regulations and transaction processes.
- Previous startup or scale-up experience.
