Blue Legal is working with a leading law-firm who are recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join their Dublin office. The role includes working within the business development & marketing team to provide comprehensive business development to support the Dublin office, working closely with partners and fee earners to harness relationships and identify new business opportunities, and taking an integrated approach to marketing & business development, to bring together regional and practice group expertise to maintain, grow and support client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience with email marketing software, strong project, organisational and administrative skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the BD Manager, team, and practice groups to develop and implement BD plans and budgets.
  • Translate practice group goals into specific BD tasks, supporting the global BD & Marketing team and partners.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to develop new and existing clients.
  • Arrange and execute BD trips, ensuring objectives are agreed upon, teams are briefed, and follow-up actions are captured.
  • Develop an understanding of the firm’s key messages, business activities, and pipeline.
  • Assist in analysing market and client developments, supporting the BD Manager and partners with new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate legal directory submissions and help prepare partners for interviews with legal directory researchers.
  • Manage lawyer involvement in marketing activities and support practice group events, conferences, and corporate association engagement.

The Candidate:

  • Preferred qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field, with over two years of experience in a marketing/business development role in professional services, ideally in finance or legal.
  • Proven experience working in a matrix organization, managing multiple projects under pressure, and delivering on deadlines.
  • Strong event management, sponsorship activation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in CRM systems like InterAction and MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience maximizing data value.
