Business Developer – Private Debt (Agency Services)

Location : Paris

Contract Type : Full-Time, Permanent

Start Date : As soon as possible

A leading independent European financial services provider, recognized for its expertise in agency services, valuation, and issuer support, is seeking an experienced Business Developer to lead its Private Debt Agency Services expansion in Europe.

Following significant growth across the group, this new strategic role will be based in Paris's office and report directly to the Business Developer Director. The successful candidate will play a central role in defining and executing a targeted development strategy across France and Continental Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a business development strategy tailored to Private Debt Agency Services in the FR market.
  • Develop and refine marketing, commercial and communication materials to enhance brand visibility and client engagement.
  • Collaborate with the internal Communications team to launch content and initiatives (e.g., articles, webinars, events).
  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing and growing existing client relationships.
  • Coordinate with other business unit leaders to identify synergies and align on cross-functional development initiatives.
  • Conduct regular reporting to senior management on commercial performance, pipeline activity, and strategic opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of regulatory and market trends that may impact operations in the FR and key European regions.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in business development within Private Debt Agency Services.
  • In-depth operational understanding of the FR private debt market (technical, legal, and regulatory).
  • Proven track record of commercial success in a comparable environment, ideally with international exposure.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and capable of assuming full ownership of market development initiatives.
  • Fluent in French and English; knowledge of another European language (German, Dutch, or Spanish) would be a significant advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; able to work effectively within a dynamic and multicultural team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
