Job summary

Operanka Associates is seeking a Front-Office / Repo Business Analyst to join our Paris-based project team responsible for a critical software suite used by international fixed-income trading desks.

Working within an Agile environment, you will support the Lead BA to gather requirements from Rates/Credit desks, draft specifications, and provide Level 2/3 functional support. Fluency in English is essential for daily interaction with global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with Front-Office desks and capital markets operations.
• Ability to gather and translate business requirements into functional specs.
• Experience with SQL data analysis and log parsing; scripting in Python is a plus.

We are seeking a Front-Office / Repo Business Analyst to join the project team responsible for a critical software suite used by international fixed-income trading desks within a CIB based in Paris.

Working within an Agile project team, you will collaborate with the Lead BA to support system enhancements and manage relationships with Front-Office desks.

Your Responsibilities

• Front-Office Relations: Gather, analyze, and define requirements for system enhancements in collaboration with Rates/Credit desks and key users.
• Analysis & Specifications: Draft functional specifications and support the development squad (Microsoft environment) in implementing features.
• Support & Investigation: Provide Level 2/3 functional and technical support for complex incidents or production anomalies.
• Projects & Regulatory: Participate in projects related to regulatory compliance and the optimization of the transaction processing chain.

Target Profile & Key Skills

• Functional Expertise : Capital Markets & Repo (Products & Financing), Repo mechanisms , Electronic Trading (Bloomberg, Tradeweb, Bondvision, MarketAxess, Eurex, Brokertec, etc.). PnL & Risk.
• STP Processing: Solid grasp of the STP trade capture integration chain and its associated constraints (data enrichment, controls, and regulations).
• Experience with SQL queries for database analysis and data verification; Ability to parse/analyze application logs;
• Proficiency in or aptitude for writing Python scripts (for investigation or data manipulation).
• Fluent English (spoken and written): Essential for daily interaction with international stakeholders and users.
