Qualifications

  • 3 à 5 ans d'expérience en tant qu'avocat en propriété intellectuelle.
  • Capacité démontrée à rédiger, examiner et négocier des contrats.

Responsabilités

  • Réviser et négocier des contrats pour les services de distribution et de partenariat.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes commerciales pour assurer une bonne compréhension des contrats.

Description du poste

Primarily handling label and artists signings for our distribution / artist services departments, you will ensure that the Believe processes, contract templates and business rules are applied throughout negotiations and completion of deals. You will provide consistent legal support to the admin and sales teams to ensure we sign contracts as efficiently as possible.

In practical terms, your tasks and responsibilities are to:

  • Review and negotiate contracts such as distribution agreements, synchronisation licences, brand partnerships, live performances agreement etc. under the supervision and guidance of the Central Legal Department;
  • Implement the company guidelines, processes and policies;
  • Assist other legal departments such as litigation and corporate, as required;
  • Provide detailed reporting, in order to seek approval and ensure all relevant information is shared;
  • Collaborate closely and support business teams by providing counselling and/or training as necessary to ensure contract templates are well understood, negotiated and implemented;
  • Participate as required to elaboration of template & establishment of process at local or group level;
  • Ensure monitoring of local market practices in the field of music distribution.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of experience as a lawyer in the intellectual property, either in-house or in private practice. Experience in the music industry is a plus.

Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws and regulation. Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, with strong attention to details, excellent negotiation skills and a business-oriented mindset.

Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus. Keen to work with teams located abroad.

Team player with excellent inter-personal skills, you are a cooperative business partner, willing to assist with all day-to-day queries that arise. Business facilitator, showing a solution-oriented spirit to support the closing of deals.

Proven aptitude for reporting. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.

Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, embracing new challenges and displaying flexibility in responding to evolving industry trends and business needs.

The preferred candidate should exhibit a natural ability and familiarity with a tech-driven environment notably through usage of contracting and CRM tools, excellent abilities with digital platforms and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
