The BPO Raw Material & Spare Parts Master Data will play a pivotal role in the Oxygen project, responsible for defining, validating, and overseeing master data specifications and models during the transition to a unified Oxygen S / 4.
This role is crucial in ensuring the consistency, accuracy, and integrity of critical master data for Raw Material & Spare Parts across organizational units and systems.
The BPO will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across departments, countries, and systems to design a robust and scalable data model.
He / she will also lead efforts in data quality assurance, literacy, and governance, ensuring successful profiling, cleaning, and migration strategies while aligning with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Master Data Definition and Governance :
- Define and validate master data specifications for raw material & spare parts in S4HANA and PIM.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of raw material & spare parts data across systems (PIM, In4.0rm, Metrix…).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models for S4HANA (Data dictionary, business and quality rules, list of values).
- Monitor and govern the lifecycle of Raw Material & Spare Parts Master Data, from creation to deactivation, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
- Oversee the quality and user acceptance testing of SAP-MDG (Master Data Governance) developments.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement :
- Establish data councils or equivalent to validate and share master data modifications with data owners and impacted systems.
- Collaborate with the BPO Product & Material Master Data, Business Partner, and Finance Master Data teams to validate transversal master data models.
- Work closely with country-specific stakeholders (e.g., France, Germany, and all European countries) to establish roles, responsibilities, and compliance for master data management.
Data Assessment and Quality Assurance :
- Lead data profiling, analysis, cleansing, and migration strategies for France, Germany, and subsequent waves.
- Identify and mitigate data-related risks to ensure high-quality, error-free data migration.
Data Governance and Continuous Improvement :
- Engage with various countries to define roles and responsibilities related to master data management.
- Support training and enablement activities to improve data literacy and organizational capability in master data management.
- Act as a subject matter expert in data governance, contributing to the organization's long-term strategy for managing Material Master Data.
- Define and monitor KPIs related to data quality and governance, ensuring continuous improvement.
