Euronext is building a Digital Assets team in Paris, Porto, Milan, and Rome. The Blockchain / Smart Contract Engineer will design and secure the on-chain core, with smart contracts spanning issuance to settlement, collaborating with product and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions.

Based in one of the major European cities, you will report to the CTO Digital Assets and help shape the next generation of market infrastructure, integrating tokenisation and DLT capabilities

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Solidity / EVM and permissioned-chain patterns.
• Deep understanding of ERC-20 and extensions.
• Experience with property-based and fuzz testing; gas and security profiling.
• A precise, security-first mindset and experience working with auditors.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, with three or more years of relevant experience.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement all smart contracts constituting the core of our digital assets platform.
• Write property-based and fuzz tests; maintain invariants on supply and ownership.
• Prepare contracts for external audit and remediate findings.
• Design the tokenization engine for reuse across multiple instrument types.
• Use AI-assisted contract scaffolding and refactoring, with disciplined human review of every generated line.
• Generate property and fuzz test suites for smart-contract invariants with AI.
• Use AI for vulnerability triage and audit preparation, treating output as leads to verify rather than conclusions.
• Maintain prompt hygiene — never expose keys, addresses, or unaudited logic to external AI services.

We are building a new Digital Assets team at Euronext, with the mission to develop our tokenisation and distributed ledger technology (DLT) capabilities, launch products for financial institutions and retail clients, and define the next generation of financial market infrastructure - bridging traditional and decentralised finance.

We are looking for a Blockchain / Smart Contract Engineer. You will be responsible for designing, building and securing the on-chain core, including all smart contracts involved in our workflows from issuance to settlement. You will work closely with the product team and collaborate cross teams to deliver robust and compliant solutions.

The position will be based in Paris, Porto, Milan or Rome, and start as soon as possible. You will report to the CTO Digital Assets.

You will primarily be responsible for

Your profile

• Strong experience withSolidity / EVM experience; permissioned-chain patterns (e.g.Canton, Besu).
• Deep understanding of ERC-20 and extensions.
• Experience withproperty-based and fuzz testing; gas and security profiling.
• A precise, security-first mindset and experience working with auditors.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, with three or more years of relevant experience.
