Vestas in France is seeking a Team Leader for Field Operations to supervise wind-turbine maintenance activities and support the Service Department. The role focuses on optimising turbine performance and energy efficiency while ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

You will mentor technicians and coordinate with customers to deliver reliable service. The ideal candidate has strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, field experience, and fluency in English.

• Experience in electrical, mechanical or hydraulics aligned with local requirements.
• Strong leadership with ability to coach technicians and operators.
• Good problem solving and field training capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Back-up to Supervisor in field operations for maintenance tasks.
• Follow up of maintenance tasks and supervise day-to-day activities.
• Perform advanced wind turbine maintenance and installation tasks as needed.
• Document turbine issues in SF/SAP and other systems.
• Interface with turbine control and mechanical systems to conduct tasks safely.
• Ensure quality, cost and service delivery goals are met; uphold safety rules.
• Provide training to technicians and operators; support competence development.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and internal teams.

The Service Department, responsible for the smooth operation of its customers' wind farms, is looking for a Team Leader that will be responsible for optimizing the performance of machines throughout their life cycle, ensuring that wind turbines run at their maximum capacity and provide the best energy efficiency for our clients. The Service department has a very important role in order to develop customer loyalty on a long term.

Responsabilities :You are the back-up of the Supervisor in field operations related maintenance task.

• Follow up of maintenance tasks.
• Supervision of technicians in day-to-day activities, to ensure compliance with standards for scheduled/unscheduled activities.
• Advanced level operational wind turbine maintenance and, or installation tasks as discovered or as assigned. This includes proficient operation and use of specialized tools and diagnostic processes (e.g. data logger, Vestas Turbine Monitor, borescope,…).
• Documentation of turbine issues as required and enters data in company system such as observation in SF,SAP,...
• Interfaces and manipulates turbine control and mechanical systems to safely conduct service and, or installation tasks.
• Ensure that quality, costs and service delivery goals are met, based on the Service's needs and goals.
• Ensure compliance with Vestas standards safety rules, procedures and processes (work permits, forms, security alerts, etc.).
• High quality daily reporting and service documentation in Salesforce and other Vestas systems such as I-auditor in accordance to agreed reporting standards.
• Provide training/coaching to technicians and operators in technical areas, operational procedures and safety practices.
• Support supervisor for continuous evaluation and competence development of the staffMay contact with customers regarding completed and upcoming service and repairs (check in/out reasons).
• Establish and maintain cordial and effective working relationshipsBe a role model for other employees.
• Substantial experience or degree within electrical field, mechanics and, or hydraulics in accordance to local requirements and standards (local certifications).
• Recommended to have knowledge of and teaching experience with troubleshooting techniques, good problem solving skills, field training capabilities.
• Demonstrate team attributes and leadership skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement and delivering the right solutions.
• Ability to maintain an attitude that promotes a positive image to internal and external customers.
• Maintain a professional attitude even when problems and crisis situations arise.
• Demonstrated advanced use of complex power tools such as hydraulic rams, inductive heaters and diagnostic tools (e.g. advance fluke meter functions, VOB data collection).
• Good knowledge in local language and EnglishAmbassador of QUALITY and SAFETY.
