Our Winnipeg office is looking for a Bilingual Senior Accountant to join the Assurance team. If you are currently located in Canada and interested in relocating to Winnipeg, BDO may offer financial assistance. The selected candidate will be required to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Effectively and efficiently handle audit tasks independently or within a team environment
  • Efficiently prepare year-end engagements and tax returns for clients in various industries
  • Perform audits on a variety of organizations, prepare working papers and financial statements per regulatory standards
  • Build positive relationships with clients and respond effectively to requests and suggestions
  • Participate in business development initiatives and identify new opportunities with existing clients
  • Communicate with team members regarding progress and issues
  • Engage in staff training and support professional development
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English (written and oral)

Your experience and education

  • Completed CPA designation or in the process of completing it
  • 2-3 years of audit experience in public accounting
  • Interest in working within private, non-profit, and public sectors, with a desire to develop knowledge in these areas
  • Valuing teamwork, client service, and quality work
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in both French and English
