Job summary

Google LLC in Paris seeks a Junior Associate Legal Counsel to support commercial operations, manage litigation matters, and guide cross-functional product and engineering teams through complex regulatory environments during product launches. This role emphasizes practical legal advice, risk assessments (GDPR/CCPA), and compliant contract workflows.

You will collaborate with sales, product management, marketing, and leadership, with a compensation package including base salary, 15% bonus target,

Qualifications

2 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and advising on product launches.
Experience with litigation processes and overseeing outside counsel.
Bar admission and in good standing in the jurisdiction of employment.
Ability to communicate fluently in English and French.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor agreements, MSAs, partnerships, licenses, and NDAs.
Provide end-to-end legal support for new product features and geographic expansions with privacy assessments.
Assist in dispute resolution, pre-litigation matters, and coordinate with outside counsel.
Review marketing communications and product copy for advertising and consumer protection compliance.
Conduct internal investigations and draft response letters for litigation matters.
