L’École Jeannine Manuel Lille recherche un bibliothécaire / médiathécaire pour le lycée afin d’animer le fonds documentaire dans un cadre bilingue et interculturel.

Sous la supervision de la direction et en collaboration avec les équipes pédagogiques, vous guiderez les élèves dans leurs recherches, gérerez le catalogue et les ressources, et conduirez des actions de promotion de la lecture. Vous utiliserez BCDI/Esidoc et vous pourrez proposer de nouveaux projets innovants.

Qualifications

• Professionnel de l’information reconnu, sens du service et de la pédagogie.
• Maîtrise des techniques de bibliothèque (indexation, catalogage, circulation).
• Maîtrise des outils de gestion de ressources documentaires (BCDI/Esidoc).
• Parfaite maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (écrit et oral).

Responsabilités

• Guider et soutenir les élèves dans leurs recherches, notamment pour le BFI et l’IB.
• Concevoir et animer des formations sur l’info literacy et l’évaluation des sources.
• Organiser et enrichir les collections physiques et numériques du lycée.
• Faciliter l’accès à l’information et gérer la base de données de la bibliothèque.
• Mettre en œuvre des projets de promotion de la lecture pour les lycéens.

About the school

École Jeannine Manuel Lille, located in Marcq-en-Barœul, is a top-tier international bilingual school. Our mission is to promote international understanding through bilingual education. At the heart of our campus, the High School library is a vital hub for culture, learning, and research for both our students and teaching staff.

The role

For the start of the September 2026 school year, we are looking for a passionate and innovative Librarian / Media Specialist to join our team and bring this space to life within a resolutely multicultural environment. Reporting to the school management and working in close collaboration with the teaching teams, the post holder will foster students' independence in their research and manage the High School’s documentary resources.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and support students in their complex research needs, particularly those preparing for the French International Baccalaureate (BFI) and the International Baccalaureate (IB).
• Design and lead training sessions for students on information literacy, source evaluation, and media and information literacy.
• Organise, enrich, and update the library's physical and digital collections with rigour.
• Facilitate access to information in print and digital formats, monitor online platforms, and manage the library database.
• Implement reading promotion projects, including reading contests and literary challenges for high school students.

Requirements

• Recognised information professional with a welcoming approach, rigour, and creativity.
• Perfect command of library techniques including indexing, cataloguing, and circulation management.
• Mandatory proficiency in library database management tools (BCDI / Esidoc).
• Perfect fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) to support students in a bilingual curriculum.
• Ability to innovate, propose new projects, and work effectively within a dynamic, intercultural educational team.
