BESS Project Manager - Bordeaux

We are working with a leading international energy developer seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across France.

This role will be based in Bordeaux and offers the opportunity to lead the full project lifecycle - from development and permitting through to construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage BESS projects from pre-construction through execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
• Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities
• Coordinate internal teams, external stakeholders, and subcontractors
• Ensure regulatory and permitting compliance in line with French standards
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and risk management processes
• Represent the company in discussions with local authorities, communities, and landowners

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 4 years of project management experience within the energy or infrastructure sector
• Strong understanding of BESS technologies and grid integration requirements
• Proven track record of delivering complex renewable or storage projects in France
• Familiarity with French permitting processes and regulatory frameworks
• Fluent in French
• Engineering or technical background preferred
