What You Need to Know (Job Overview) :

You will be the first point of contact for benefit escalations, HR inquiries, and guidance on plan provisions, including Health and Welfare, Defined Benefits, and Defined Contribution plans. The analyst will also focus on continuous improvement in benefits administration.

Your primary responsibilities include reviewing employee communications, client acceptance testing, resolving HR tickets, researching and responding to appeals, data analysis, and conducting audits. You should be able to analyze data, predict trends, summarize findings, and make recommendations.

This role can be located anywhere; however, if on the West Coast, you must be willing to work primarily East Coast hours (i.e., 6 of 8 hours).

  • Administer non-union employee benefit programs and ensure compliance with plan provisions and organizational guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary contact for benefit escalation tickets.
  • Assist with RFI, RFP processes, and implementation of new benefit offerings.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and procedures.
  • Monitor employee hours for compliance with federal mandates (e.g., ACA 30-hour rule).
  • Prepare regulatory notices and ensure timely communication to plan participants.
  • Ensure procedures and vendor requirements are current and compliant.
  • Address escalated participant and retiree complaints and manage vendor relationships.
  • Maintain the integrity of plan participant data and ensure accurate administration.
  • Support SOC1 analysis, annual audits, and plan document reviews.
  • Assist with retiree medical program valuation reports and work with administrators and actuaries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the Total Rewards department, including projects.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.

Note: Salary is aligned to geographic location; specific details will be discussed during the screening process. The job posting will remain open for at least five business days.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications) :

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and standards; excellent communication skills; intermediate Excel skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately six times a year.
  • Combination of education and experience satisfying minimum requirements; management experience cannot substitute.
