The ESRF in Grenoble invites applications for a Beamline Technical Support Technician to join the CRG Liaison Office, supporting operation, maintenance and improvement of beamlines operated in partnership with external institutes.
Under the Liaison Engineer, you will monitor requests, coordinate with mechanics, electronics, detectors and contractors, maintain inventory and prepare technical documentation for the CRG beamlines.
You will join the Collaborative Research Group (CRG) Liaison Office and work closely with beamline teams, ESRF technical support groups and external partners to support the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of state-of-the-art beamlines operated in partnership with external research institutes.
Working as part of a team under the supervision of the Liaison Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
You are a technician with a background in instrumentation, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, mechanical engineering or a related technical field. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary scientific environment where you can combine hands‑on technical work with coordination activities.
You have:
Experience gained in a research laboratory, scientific facility or complex industrial environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Permanent contract.
The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
