IMT Mines Alès invites applications for a 20-month fixed-term position affiliated with the AMI CMA project, focusing on battery fire safety. The role involves designing an experimental test bench to study interactions between thermal runaway and polymer materials, developing protocols, and disseminating results.

Minimum education is a PhD. The position opens to civil servants and contract staff, with a €35,400 gross annual salary and opportunities to contribute to teaching and training modules

Qualifications

  • Good command of scientific English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to publish in international journals and present at conferences.

Responsabilités

  • Design, develop, and implement an experimental test bench to study battery thermal runaway with polymer materials.
  • Define experimental protocols, run campaigns, and analyze results to understand fire propagation mechanisms.
  • Contribute to IMT Mines Alès teaching programme on battery fire safety.
  • Develop and deliver a training module on thermal runaway mechanisms, risks, methods, and protection strategies.
  • Prepare teaching materials and deliver associated courses.
  • Contribute to scientific dissemination of project work.
