Job Description

Reporting to the Venue Manager, the Bar Manager will oversee daily operations of the bar, ensure an exceptional guest experience, and manage a dedicated team of bar staff. Responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining approved service sequences and standards at all times
2. Understanding licensing and operating legislation affecting the department, including the Liquor Act
3. Performing monthly stock takes and reporting inventory findings
4. Assisting in staff rostering and training development
5. Monitoring the venue’s budget, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability
6. Assisting guests with inquiries and complaints, providing accurate information about facilities
7. Maintaining cleanliness and proper care of equipment and materials
8. Collaborating with the Venue Manager on events and promotions

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Bar Manager in a high-volume environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Knowledge of inventory management and ordering processes
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
• A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding service
