Riot, a cybersecurity product company, seeks a backend engineer in Paris to own end-to-end features for Slash, with a focus on scalable email security and AI-assisted development. You’ll ship detection logic, build robust systems, and shape backend standards in a small, senior team.

Candidates should have 2+ years in production backend work, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with Elixir/Phoenix. Relocation to Paris is welcomed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building backend applications in production.
• You are comfortable with SQL and relational data modeling.
• You use AI coding tools seriously.
• You are a team player open to feedback and learning.
• You prioritize shipping on time while maintaining quality.
• You don't need to be a cybersecurity expert but are motivated by the mission.

Responsabilités

• Ship new Slash features end-to-end: detection logic and admin tooling.
• Build robust systems that process millions of emails daily with low latency.
• Organize the backend codebase and set team standards.
• Research, pitch, and prototype solutions to hard problems.
