Spendesk is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (IC3) to help build the backend foundations for AI-native experiences. You will own and operate services that power conversational and agentic features, including context management, content access, and multi-step orchestration, with a focus on reliability and security.

Ideal candidates have strong TypeScript/Node.js experience, and hands-on exposure to AI-enabled product features in production.

Qualifications

• Significant backend software engineering experience in production.
• Strong track record shipping scalable backend services with reliability.
• Experience with AI-enabled or LLM-backed features is a plus.
• Fluency with TypeScript/Node.js in production environments.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and operate backend services powering conversational and agentic AI features.
• Implement context management, tool invocation, rich content access, and multi-step orchestration.
• Build robust patterns for integrating LLMs through AWS Bedrock with observability and retries.
• Ensure production-ready services with reliability, maintainability, and security.
