Jobtailor in Paris, France, seeks a backend software engineer focused on Go to build and maintain high-performance services for real-time auctions. You will design distributed systems, collaborate with WebExperience, InApp, DevOps, and Product teams, and drive reliability with SLIs/SLOs in AWS.

Strong Go expertise and a passion for performance, profiling, and scalable architectures are required. Experience with Grafana/Prometheus monitoring and a willingness to ramp in AdTech is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Hands-on Go experience or willingness to become proficient.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and reliability best practices.
• Familiarity with SLI/SLO concepts and performance monitoring.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering, DevOps, and product teams.
• AdTech experience is a plus; ramp-up support provided.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Go
• Build and optimize distributed systems to support high-volume, low-latency auctions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including WebExperience (ad rendering and performance), InApp, DevOps, and Product teams.
• Ensure reliability and stability through well-defined SLIs and SLOs.
• Participate in architectural discussions and influence long-term technical direction.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies: 2-week sprints, daily standups, grooming, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Monitor and maintain system health using Grafana and Prometheus.
• Work within the AWS ecosystem to ensure scalable and secure deployments.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience, with a strong backend focus.
• Hands-on experience with Go or willingness to become proficient.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and best practices for reliability and scalability.
• Familiarity with SLI/SLO concepts and performance monitoring, memory and cpu profiling, caching.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across engineering, DevOps, and product teams.
• AdTech experience is a plus, but not required (we’ll help you ramp up)
