Job summary

Air Apps is hiring a DevOps Engineer – Backend to design, automate, and maintain our core infrastructure. You will collaborate with developers to streamline deployments, improve scalability, and ensure secure, cost-effective services.

The role emphasizes building CI/CD pipelines, managing multi-cloud environments, and enforcing IaC practices using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi. Relocation support is available for Lisbon-based onsite work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong CI/CD tool experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and serverless computing.
• Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Hands-on containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Linux networking and security best practices; automation scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deploy processes.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve reliability.
• Enforce security best practices and cost-optimized architectures.
