What you'll do & Who you are

We are currently looking for a Backend Developer (Golang) to join the "Maps" feature team.

The team:

The Maps team is a crucial strategic pillar for Leboncoin. Our mission is to revolutionize the local ad search experience through cutting-edge mapping features integrated across all our platforms.

We are a dynamic and multidisciplinary international team, composed of:

  • 1 Quality Analyst
  • 1 Product Manager

Our strength lies in our close collaboration with the Data and UX teams, allowing us to create innovative, high-performance mapping solutions perfectly adapted to the needs of our users, whether they are individuals or professionals.

Your missions:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and high-performance backend services within the Maps scope.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with our product managers, UX, and frontend teams to implement new features.
  • Optimize the performance and scalability of our services.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with mapping/geospatial search topics.
  • At least 5 years of backend development experience, including 2 years in Golang.
  • Experience with distributed architectures, event-driven systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Kafka and other message broker systems.
  • Ability to evaluate architectural decisions; make trade-offs, take decisions, and implement them.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge and practice of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban Flow).
  • Aptitude for teamwork, knowledge sharing, and helping others.
  • Good level of English to enable technical communication with Adevinta teams.

Additional information:

  • Position based in Paris (10th arrondissement).
  • Compensation based on education level/experience level.
  • Partial remote work possible (minimum 2 days on-site per 2-week sprint).

Interview process:

  • 1 HR phone interview.
  • 1 technical test + technical interview with Back-End lead.
  • 1 interview with N+2 manager (optional).
