The Job

As a backend developer, your main task will be to recommend and code in the best technologies to create amazing products that solve the data challenges of our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving improvement by designing and implementing new features and products, translating feature requests and product plans into technical plans.
• Participating in defining programming objectives, setting timelines for deliverables, and ensuring commitment to deadlines.
• Writing well-designed and efficient back-end code using best practices, along with testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Identifying risks involved with development and providing solutions for complex problems.
• Working closely with the Project Manager/Business analyst to plan and evaluate team work and analyze project impact.
• Establishing best coding practices and conducting regular code reviews.
• Collaborating with other teams to meet technical needs effectively.
• Mentoring junior programmers.
• Keeping up-to-date with new technologies (we have a budget for learning new skills!).

The Profile

• Ideally, 2-5 years of hands-on experience as a full-stack/backend developer, preferably in an Agile environment with exposure to the full SDLC.
• Strong background in Node.js and proficiency in database management using NoSQL/MongoDB.
• Self-driven with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including documentation and reporting.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning technologies (e.g., KERAS, TensorFlow, NEAT, GPT2, DialogGPT, BERT, Scikit-learn, RASA, Jarvis) and cloud platforms like AWS is a plus.
