2. Description of the department

AXA IM Prime is a fully integrated provider of investment solutions across private markets, including private equity, private debt, infrastructure and hedge funds. It operates within the wider AXA Investment Management platform – sitting alongside AXA IM Core, AXA IM Alts and AXA IM Architas – and is backed by AXA Group, one of the world’s pre-eminent global insurance and asset management groups.

The Hedge Fund team seats within AXA IM Prime and offers a range of Hedge Fund portfolios for institutional investors covering the full spectrum of hedge fund strategies on a global basis.

3. The main responsibilities of the role

Quantitative Investment Strategies

• Develop and maintain a library of Key Performance Indicators across asset classes
• Maintain Peer Groups of QIS
• Perform screenings of QIS database
• Participate to regular calls with investment banks QIS desks

Hedge Funds sourcing

• Maintain regular contacts with Prime Brokers
• Monitor conferences agenda
• Perform screenings of database (internal and PB lists)
• Get information from PBs and fund managers

Assist analysts with ad hoc research requests

• Quantitative analysis of track records
• Risk exposures of fund managers
• Performance attribution analysis

Preparation of reports

• Help on the preparation of Monitoring and Due Diligence Reports
• Maintain KPI database
• Collect information for the Quarterly Hedge Fund Overview

Database

• Assist research analysts in covering the available fund universe
• Create and maintain data in internal databases
• Create and maintain Peer groups

ESG

• Assist managers in filling our ESG Questionnaire
• Automation of ESG process
• Collect ESG ratings from funds
• Maintain and update database

4. Profile

Education/Qualifications

• Postgraduate studies in Finance, Management or Engineering

Technical skills

• Financial analysis
• Capital Markets and Derivatives
• Quantitative strategies
• Very good use of Word/Excel/Powerpoint/ VBA

Competencies

• Accomplished interpersonal skills, ability to work efficiently in a team in an international and matrix environment
• Proficiency with figures and the ability to maintain accuracy and be detail orientated while complying with deadlines
• Autonomous, initiative, entrepreneurial and result driven culture
• Verbal and written communications and presentation skills
• Creative thinking, capability to develop innovative solutions
• Fluent in English
