We are looking for an experienced and motivated technologist with a deep understanding of the Energy, Power, or Utility Industries. You will have a business mindset, technical depth, and strong interpersonal skills to build the future with us as a Solutions Architect, supporting some of the largest Energy companies in the world.

You will work with customer line of business owners to solve their biggest business problems and help them attain new levels of performance. You will leverage AWS’ cloud services to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient architectures that address business challenges and accelerate the customer cloud journey, always prioritizing customer experience.

You will interact, communicate, and partner with other AWS teams such as product, marketing, and professional services, representing your team to executive management. You should be able to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. Your creativity, passion, and dynamism will positively impact your customers.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and best practices.
• Act as an advocate for customers to help improve AWS platform features and services based on their needs.
• Help shape the Solutions Architecture team by mentoring and hiring.
• Define or invent cloud-native reference architectures and share best practices through white papers, code samples, blogs, etc.
• Educate and evangelize AWS technology via workshops, meetups, conferences, and online content.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years in relevant technology domains (software, cloud, security, etc.)
• 3+ years in applications/infrastructure solutions for Energy companies
• Experience communicating with technical and executive audiences
• Degree in sciences, technology, engineering, math, or equivalent experience
• Strong communication skills in English and French

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with cloud solutions, virtualization, software development, or operational frameworks
• Knowledge of security, risk, compliance, high availability, hardware, and networking
• Experience with on-premises and cloud system integration
• Cloud certifications or cloud-native development experience
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or JavaScript
