Lever, Inc. develops a modern data platform to support manufacturing operations globally. The Software Data Engineer will design streaming and batch data pipelines connecting plant systems to enable data-driven decisions.

You will work with Kafka, Flink or Spark Streaming, lakehouse architectures, and Infrastructure as Code on AWS, ensuring production-ready, observable data solutions across international teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/CE; PhD considered a plus.
• Strong Python and SQL programming.
• Experience with Kafka/MSK and Flink or Spark Streaming.
• Practical experience with AWS services: EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, Aurora/RDS, DynamoDB, VPC.
• Big data tech: Spark, Hive, HDFS; Iceberg/Parquet.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop scalable streaming data pipelines using Kafka/MSK, Flink or Spark Streaming.
• Build batch transformation pipelines within a medallion lakehouse architecture (bronze/silver/gold) on Amazon S3 with Iceberg/Parquet.
• Design and manage data storage across Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and lakehouse storage.
• Deploy and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting data/ML workloads (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, VPC).
• Refactor, optimize, and deploy data solutions with CI/CD, containers, and IaC best practices.
• Collaborate with international teams to gather requirements and define data loading processes.
• Document developments, perform integration testing, and manage deployments in AWS.
