- Work independently on system designs
- Modify, commission, and test electrical/avionic systems on Transport Category Aircraft for cabin completion and modification projects
Key Aspects of the Activity
- Preparation of System Specification and Service Definitions
- Support project preparation (Request for Quotation, Order Description, Material Orders)
- Preparation of Layout Drawings, Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Item Lists, Wire Lists, Drawings Lists, and handling related ECO and PCR
- Preparation of Installation Instructions and Documentation (EO, SB)
- Preparation of Ground and Flight Checks and Test Procedures
- Preparation of Compliance Documentation, Reports & Analysis regarding Equipment Qualification, Wire-Routing, Installation, Safety, and Hazard Assessments
- Administration of Vendor Information and Manuals
- Liaison with Avionic & Electrical Services Department
- Liaison with Office of Airworthiness, Mechanical Production Engineering, and Mechanical Design Engineering
- Liaison with Vendors and Suppliers of parts, components, and systems
- Selection of equipment, components, and materials
- Development of electrical wiring diagrams (Visio)
- Preparation of ground and flight-test procedures
- Development of technical, safety, and certification documentation (reports, analysis, assessments)
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Applicable Electronic/Electrical Engineering degree or similar qualification
- Aviation experience & Design Engineering experience is advantageous
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Proficiency in MS Office (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD
- Good communication skills in English; German and/or French is advantageous
- Pro-active team player with an object-oriented approach
