The project focuses on autonomous and interactive systems, a key area from 2019-2023, addressing the integration of autonomous systems with humans, including physical and cognitive interactions, behavioral factors, and societal challenges like AI and future territories.
The LAMIH, a joint CNRS-UPHF research unit, specializes in transportation and human mobility, including eco-driving, intelligent transportation, and embedded systems. The HEUDIASYC laboratory, a joint UTC-CNRS unit, conducts research in information and digital sciences, robotics, control engineering, and AI, with a focus on mobile robots and their interaction with humans and other robots, including collaborations with Renault.
The main goal is to enhance CNRS's activities in robotics, control engineering, and AI for human-interacting autonomous systems, with two primary axes: (1) Developing control approaches and architectures for autonomous vehicles considering human factors, and (2) Learning driving situations to adapt to driver preferences, improving safety and driving assistance, especially for vulnerable groups.
The project addresses perception, understanding in open environments, vehicle uncertainty, and integrity, aiming to strengthen expertise in these areas.
The recruited individual will contribute to educational initiatives at UTC and UPHF, integrating research with teaching activities.
CNRS promotes open science, aiming for accessible research results, including publications and data, respecting necessary restrictions. Results dissemination will include publications, patents, software, and outreach activities such as conferences and public engagement.
The project emphasizes the societal impact of science, fostering public decision-making and participatory science with socio-economic partners.
