Astemo is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join our engineering team in Paris/Drancy. You will lead the development of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) for automotive electric brake applications from concept through serial production, and collaborate with system, electronics, software and mechanical teams to optimize integration and performance.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, with 5–10 years in electric motor development for
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of electric motor development experience.
- Proven PMSM design experience for automotive applications.
- Knowledge of motor sizing and thermal management.
- Experience with cross‑functional teams and suppliers.
- Fluent English.
Responsabilités
- Lead PMSM development for automotive brake applications from concept to serial production.
- Define motor specifications and collaborate with suppliers on architecture and solutions.
- Collaborate with system, electronics, software and mechanical teams to optimize integration.
- Lead design reviews and DFMEA, drive DfM/DfA and reliability initiatives.
- Support prototype builds, pilot production and industrialization.
- Define and support validation plans; investigate failures and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and change records.
