Our client, a global (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing organization, is recruiting for an Automation Engineer to join their team on a new expansion project. Based in a charming location in France, this contractual role will involve significantly increasing the site's capacity for biologics manufacturing.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Automation Technical Leads and actively participate in creating, reviewing, and approving project deliverables, such as design documents, configuration builds, FAT, installation, commissioning, and validation activities.
  2. Support the technical delivery of automation systems, including site DCS, DeltaV, various OEM control systems, and their integration with site MES and Data Historian systems.
  3. Communicate and collaborate regularly with the project team and multi-functional stakeholders, including system vendors.
  4. Participate in developing and implementing the site automation strategy for lifecycle support and system optimization. Support the development of site procedures for system administration and maintenance. Engage in ongoing improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.
  5. Ensure all design and project work complies with regulatory requirements.
  6. Act as a problem solver with a focus on achieving project goals.
  7. Work effectively in a team environment with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Life Sciences.
  • Experience providing process control and information systems solutions and support to manufacturing organizations in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
