JOB TITLE

What will be your role?

Through the missions assigned to you, either alone or in a pair, you contribute to ensuring the periodic control across all activities of the AFD Group, in accordance with applicable audit standards, including IFACI norms.

MAIN MISSIONS

Ensure periodic control within your scope of responsibility.

ACTIVITIES

  1. Conduct periodic audits of head office services, agencies, and occasionally subsidiaries.
  2. Assess the compliance of organization and management of operations with regulatory obligations and procedures, as well as the relevance of risk measurement and monitoring systems.
  3. Draft audit reports, communicate findings, and follow up on the implementation of recommendations.
  4. Participate in transversal tasks within the Internal Audit team concerning the evolution of methods and standards for internal control evaluation within the group.
  5. Engage in regulatory watch activities (regulations, best practices).

Who are we looking for?

1. Skills sought:

  • Having at least 5 years of successful experience in banking audit, from a banking or financial company audit service, or a banking control body (please provide references).
  • Proficiency with office tools (Windows suite) and comfort in data analysis.
  • Great adaptability.
  • Ability to quickly understand new procedural frameworks.
  • Autonomy in work, with proven organizational, methodological, rigorous, reporting skills, and respect for deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills.
  • Excellent argumentation skills (oral and written), debate, and persuasion abilities.
  • Clear and fluent oral expression.
  • Ability to lead meetings and present findings to managers, including senior management.

2. Human / relational / motivational qualities:

  • Discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and in pairs.
  • Strong relational skills to interact with all entities within the group, active listening, and persuasion skills.
  • Availability for occasional international travel to our regional offices and agencies (around 100 locations across 5 continents).
  • Willingness to commit to at least 6 years in this position.

3. Education level / diploma:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Banking / Finance or Banking Audit.

4. Languages:

  • Proven proficiency in English to conduct audits in this language.
  • Knowledge of another language (Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic) is a plus.

What team will you join?

The Internal Audit team (IGE), composed of 26 members, is responsible for internal audits and inspections within the AFD Group. Your future manager’s words: Within the IGE, you will mainly perform audit missions, alone or in pairs, in diverse areas: process audits (operational, financial, HR, IT, etc.) and structural audits (country agencies, regional offices). You will regularly interact with the teams you audit and with one of your two supervisors, depending on your missions. You will also follow up on the implementation of recommendations and participate in the IGE’s cross-cutting projects (methodological updates in audit execution).
