Job summary

ESA Headquarters in Paris is seeking an AST RIS Project Manager for the Ariane Programme to drive the Astris development and prepare its exploitation, overseeing resources, budgets and contracts.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with the TEC and external partners, manage risks and schedules, and report to line management on a weekly basis. International mobility is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in aerospace engineering with focus on space systems.
• 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Direct experience in the development of space programmes.
• Proven experience in leading, motivating and developing a team.
• Ability to provide strategic direction and relate team objectives to organisational goals.

Responsibilities

• Managing the technical and programmatic implementation of the ASTRIS development, including space and ground segments.
• Preparing exploitation organisation and first missions.
• Preparing statements of works, RFQs, evaluating offers and negotiating procurement.
• Interfacing with industry and managing industrial contracts.
• Leading Astris team and coordinating with TEC and external support functions.
